Robert McClure, MD
Dr. Robert McClure joined MetroDerm as a partner in 2016 and sees patients at our Lilburn office. He is a caring and dedicated professional who is committed to providing his patients with the highest level of care.
Dr. McClure grew up in Miami, FL, and Birmingham, AL. He has more than 44 years of expertise in general and surgical dermatology serving patients in the Atlanta area. Dr. McClure received his B.A. from Birmingham Southern College and his M.D. from The University of Alabama in Birmingham in 1974. Following graduation, Dr. McClure received his surgical training at Emory University. In 1980, he completed a three-year dermatology residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. That same year, Dr. McClure opened his initial dermatology practice in Lilburn, Georgia, where he continues to practice today.
Dr. McClure is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. He has received the Patients’ Choice Compassionate Doctor Award, the Patients Choice Award, and the Vitals On-Time + Promptness Award every year since 2014.
Dr. McClure has served his community as an elected member of the Board of Education of the Gwinnett County Public Schools for more than two decades. He enjoys spending time with his wife of five decades, their six children, and 17 grandchildren. He also finds time to read, snow ski, play golf, and fly fish.
