The Mohs College Difference
While any board-certified dermatologist may perform Mohs surgery, only members of the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS) have undergone rigorous fellowship training. Chosen through an extremely competitive review and selection process; fellows are required to complete an intensive 1 or 2-year post-residency ACMS fellowship training program.
The American College of Mohs Surgery was founded in 1967 by Dr. Frederic E. Mohs who pioneered a highly specialized and precise technique that removes skin cancer in stages, one tissue layer at a time, resulting in minimal damage to the surrounding healthy tissue and the highest potential cure rate, at up to 99%. Dr. Mohs served as the first president of the college.
The organization has grown substantially over the years and now has over 1,200 members. Dr. Kim and Dr. Papadopoulos are both certified by the ACMS. If you are diagnosed with skin cancer and want to know if Mohs surgery would be best for your condition, you can be assured that these MetroDerm Mohs surgeons will provide you with superior treatment.

Our Clients Reviews
“You did such a wonderful job reconstructing the top of his ear after Mohs surgery, shortly after he moved here. There were many other times that you removed spots from his body. Your comforting words and genuine concern gave Dad the confidence he needed to have so many things done in his advanced age.”
Barbara, Dunwoody, GA, Speaking of her belated father
“I could never thank you enough for the wonderful outcome on my face! After I saw the photo of the wound before you closed it, I am even more in awe of your skills! My compliments to your staff. Everyone, from the appointment desk to your assistants, was so friendly, compassionate and accommodating, yet professional.”
Phyllis, Canton, GA
“Practicing medicine is hard and dealing with people and their problems everyday can be taxing. I’m sure the regulations drive you nuts at times among other things. It takes a lot to do what you guys do and you do it well. Medicine and caring for people can be extremely difficult but rewarding at the same time. I wanted to send this note saying thank you to Dr. Kim, Tanya, and the crew.”
