At MetroDerm, we pride ourselves on providing the highest level of patient care and quality service to patients and referring physicians. As fellow medical professionals, we understand that when you refer patients to MetroDerm, you put your trust in us to provide your patients with comprehensive, and compassionate care in a timely manner. 

Our goal is to schedule all new patient referrals with our Board-Certified Plastic Surgeons, Board-Certified Dermatologists, Fellowship-Trained Mohs Surgeons, Certified Physician Assistants and Licensed Aestheticians as soon as possible. We also reserve daily appointments for those patients needing to be seen immediately.

Mohs Surgery

Our Referral Teams will schedule Mohs surgery for those patients with confirmed pathology, or our surgeons will perform a biopsy on the suspected site to confirm. Confirmed Basal and Squamous cell skin cancers will be scheduled for Mohs surgery if the skin cancer is on the head or neck or if the site is a high-risk area according to National Comprehensive Cancer Network® guidelines.

Once a confirmed pathology report is available, Mohs surgery can typically be scheduled within a few weeks. The patient will need to be scheduled for a Mohs consultation with one of our Mohs surgeons before scheduling the surgical appointment.

Patient notes will be provided for new physician referrals as well as for every Mohs case. These notes will be sent to your office after the patient has been treated.
