Jack Arbiser MD, PhD, is a Board-Certified Dermatologist committed to providing excellent and individualized care to both adults and children.

Dr. Arbiser received both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in organic chemistry from Emory University. For his medical and doctorate degrees he attended the Harvard School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine Internship at Boston’s Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center, followed by his Dermatology Residency at Harvard’s Massachusetts General-Brigham Hospitals. After receiving a prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, he joined Harvard Medical School’s dermatology faculty.

In 1998, Dr. Arbiser returned to his native Atlanta when he joined Emory University. During this time, Dr. Arbiser gained international recognition for his excellent patient care, deep fund of knowledge applied to routine and complex clinical cases, and contributions to the fields of molecular cancer research, vascular biology, and the biology of skin diseases. At Emory School of Medicine, Dr. Arbiser was the Thomas Lawley Endowed Professor of Dermatology and Chief of Dermatology at the Atlanta Veterans Administration before joining MetroDerm.

In his free time, Dr. Arbiser enjoys mineral collecting, studying biblical history and archeology, hiking, and spending time with his wife, three adult sons, and daughter-in-law.
