MetroDerm’s Foad Nahai Named One of Newsweek’s America’s Best Plastic Surgeons

Dr. Farzad Nahai

ATLANTA (Sept. 21, 2023) – Dr. Foad Nahai of MetroDerm’s Center for Plastic Surgery has been named to Newsweek’s list of America’s Best Plastic Surgeons 2023. This ranking is awarded by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the world-leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

The national ranking system recognizes the best plastic surgeons in the U.S. in five major categories: breast augmentation, liposuction, facelift, rhinoplasty and eyelid surgery. Newsweek invited thousands of medical experts to participate in an online survey to recommend plastic surgeons who offer at least one of the five procedures. More than 8,400 votes were collected and analyzed for each procedure.

Nahai was the only surgeon in Georgia recognized in all five categories.

“I am grateful to have spent the last four decades helping patients transform, physically and emotionally in a way that truly empowers them,” Nahai said. “I am honored to be recognized in this way, highlighting my passion for this specialty and my commitment to its ongoing advancement. This is a welcome recognition of my work, my commitment to patient safety and a celebration of the entire surgical team here at MetroDerm’s Center for Plastic Surgery.”

Nahai takes an individual approach to his patients by listening to their goals and performing a thorough evaluation. He believes in achieving natural-looking results that do not appear overdone and are without any telltale signs or stigmata of a facelift.

He is internationally recognized as an innovator in the field, where he has developed and refined countless aesthetic and reconstructive procedures. Newsweek notes, “Plastic surgery extends beyond aesthetic procedures. Plastic surgeons play a significant role in reconstructing body structures after trauma, cancer surgeries or other medical interventions working closely with other doctors and medical professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.”

Nahai is the former Maurice J. Jurkiewicz Chair in Plastic Surgery and Professor of Surgery at Emory University, and former President of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic. He has been listed in the “Best Doctors in Atlanta,” and in W Magazine as one of the top plastic surgeons in the world.
