Dr. Corrie Alford has been a valued member of the MetroDerm team since 2011, providing expert care in both Medical and Cosmetic Dermatology at our Hiram location. She has been serving patients throughout the metro Atlanta area since 2006.
Dr. Alford earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College and went on to receive her medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine in 2002. During her time at Emory, she was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and honored with the Dean’s Scholarship. Her passion for Dermatology was evident early on through her extensive research work with Emory’s Department of Dermatology.
She completed her Dermatology residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in 2006, where she presented her work at national meetings of the American Academy of Dermatology.
Dr. Alford is Board-Certified by the American Board of Dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is also an active Atlanta Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery member.

Dr. Jack Arbiser is a renowned Board-Certified Dermatologist dedicated to providing exceptional, personalized Dermatologic care for patients of all ages. With a dual background in medicine and science, Dr. Arbiser is widely respected for his clinical acumen and innovative contributions to the understanding and treatment of complex skin diseases.
A native of Atlanta, Dr. Arbiser earned his undergraduate and graduate degrees in organic chemistry from Emory University before completing his MD and PhD at Harvard Medical School. He trained in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center and completed his Dermatology Residency at Massachusetts General-Brigham Hospitals. He was later awarded a prestigious Howard Hughes Medical Institute Research Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital and went on to serve as a faculty member in Dermatology at Harvard Medical School.
In 1998, Dr. Arbiser returned to Atlanta to join Emory University, where he earned international recognition for his groundbreaking work in molecular cancer research, vascular biology, and skin disease. He served as the Thomas Lawley Endowed Professor of Dermatology and Chief of Dermatology at the Atlanta VA Medical Center before joining MetroDerm.
A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Arbiser will be a featured speaker at the upcoming American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) Annual Meeting. His presentation will explore the critical role of skin barrier integrity in preventing inflammation and neoplasia, offering transformative insights for the treatment of inflammatory skin disorders.
Outside of his professional work, Dr. Arbiser enjoys mineral collecting, biblical history and archaeology, hiking, and spending quality time with his wife, three sons, and daughter-in-law.

Dr. Amy Kim is a Board-Certified Dermatologist and Fellowship-Trained Mohs Micrographic Surgeon who has been a part of the MetroDerm team since 2005, becoming a partner in 2008. She specializes in the management of skin cancer, with expertise in Mohs Surgery, cosmetic reconstruction, and cutaneous oncology. In addition to her surgical work, Dr. Kim practices General and Cosmetic Dermatology, as well as Phlebology.
Dr. Kim completed the prestigious Seven-Year Combined Medical School Program at Boston University, earning her undergraduate degree in 1994 and medical degree in 1998. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society during her time in medical school. Dr. Kim completed her internal medicine internship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital of Washington University in St. Louis, followed by a Dermatology residency and four-year research fellowship at Emory University, where she served as chief resident.
In 2005, Dr. Kim completed a two-year intensive fellowship at the University of Michigan, focusing on Mohs Micrographic Surgery, cosmetic and laser surgery, and melanoma management. She has contributed numerous articles to peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented at national meetings, including the American Academy of Dermatology and the Society of Investigative Dermatology.
Committed to education and community service, Dr. Kim volunteers as a clinical instructor at Emory University’s Department of Dermatology and participates in local skin cancer awareness events through organizations such as the Skin Cancer Foundation, the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Women’s Dermatologic Society. She is also a trusted voice on skin cancer topics in the local media.
Dr. Kim is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery. She is also a member of the Skin Cancer Foundation, Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the Atlanta Association of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Long Ly is a Board-Certified Dermatologist dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized care with a strong emphasis on patient education. Born in Vietnam and raised in Monroe, Louisiana, Dr. Ly brings a diverse cultural perspective and a deep understanding of the importance of building meaningful connections with patients.
He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology, with minors in Chemistry and Spanish, from the University of Louisiana at Monroe before obtaining his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Ly went on to complete a transitional year internship at Brookwood Baptist Health in Birmingham, Alabama, followed by a Dermatology Residency at Tulane University, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. His training included complex Medical Dermatology, Surgical Dermatology, and a strong foundation in Cosmetic procedures.
Dr. Ly believes in empowering patients through education and strives to create customized treatment plans that reflect each individual’s unique skin health goals. Whether managing chronic skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, performing skin cancer screenings, or delivering cosmetic treatments, Dr. Ly works collaboratively with his patients to help them feel confident and informed about their care.
He remains active in the Dermatology community through ongoing education and membership in the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the American Medical Association.
Outside of work, Dr. Ly enjoys spending time with his family and friends, cooking, hosting dinner parties, and exploring the vibrant food scene in the Atlanta metro area. He’s also an avid traveler who enjoys discovering new cultures and cuisines around the world.

Dr. Parin “Pearl” Rimtepathip, a Board-Certified Dermatologist, exemplifies that vision by combining clinical expertise with a deep commitment to public health education and community engagement.
Born and raised in Atlanta, Dr. Pearl is passionate about educating our Atlanta community on the importance of skin health and delivering high-quality, personalized care to patients of all ages.
After graduating with honors from Georgia State University, Dr. Pearl earned her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine. She completed her internal medicine internship at Grady Hospital through Morehouse School of Medicine, followed by a Dermatology residency at Loma Linda University in California, where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Pearl frequently advocates for public education about skin health. Her outreach work includes providing free skin cancer screenings through the American Academy of Dermatology and speaking at local health organizations to raise awareness about prevention and early detection.
Her influence has extended to national platforms as well, including appearing on The Weather Channel, where she shares expert tips on skin health and reflects on MetroDerm’s broader philosophy: empowering patients with trusted, practical knowledge that enhances everyday health decisions. Dr. Pearl has also contributed to professional journals such as Dermatology World and Journal of the Dermatology Nurses’ Association, reinforcing her commitment to continuous learning and elevating the field through evidence-based care.
She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Women’s Dermatology Society. Her clinical interests include General Dermatology, skin cancer treatment, Surgical Dermatology, and Pediatric Dermatology.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Pearl enjoys spending quality time with her family and giving back to the Atlanta community she proudly calls home.
